Right about at the spot where Pat Metheny meets Pieces of a Dream, you'll find Soundoctrine, a five piece band from Cleveland that mixes up an infectious brew on their self-released fourth album, Endurance. It's part of an overall band mission to "provide Christ Centered multimedia and quality entertainment to encourage the total person and group." Well, Endurance makes a strong statement in that regard, as it is a disc filled with solid compositions and a great band performance all around. Check out especially the twelve-minute late night jam, "SoulSong." An auspicious new release by a memorable young band. Recommended.
