It’s rare that you can get two musical legends together, but three? That’s what happened when, in 1991, jazz men George Duke and Stanley Clarke joined together for their Clarke/Duke Project album 3 and brought along Manhattans’ lead singer Gerald Alston for a beautiful balled called “Right By My Side.” The resulting song may not have been a bit hit, but it was a very memorable song.
