Kandace Springs is, simply put, the whole package. A remarkably gifted singer, songwriter, and pianist, Springs debuted in 2014 with her eponymous EP and wowed critics and fans alike during stunning performances on the David Letterman Show and Live at Daryl’s House, about which we shouted from the SoulTracks’ rooftop in our news section.
Last week, at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Springs thrilled us again with her new song “Place to Hide,” a quiet, jazzy ballad that will appear on her next album, Soul Eyes, slated for release on June 24. When you have her gifts, voice and piano are all you need. Enjoy.
