Pennsylvania native Kevin "Slow Jammin" James started in radio in Frederick, Maryland after a stint in the Army. He later worked at WPGC and WKYS in Washington, D.C, and KKBT in Los Angeles. Along the way he created his "Slow Jam" show, one of the original "Quiet Storm" shows and now one of the longest running, with a 100% devotion to Soul love songs. He has specialized in spotlighting great cuts that weren’t radio hits (he introduced me to the wonderful "I Destroyed Your Love" by Special Delivery). He has also compiled a series of top notch CDs called "Slow Jams: The Timeless Collection" (12 to date) for Capitol Records, many of which include memorable ballads that are unavailable on any other CD. Kevin is currently hosting his show weekends on WHUR and 6 nights a week at Hot 92.3 in Los Angeles. You can also catch him afternoons on www.slowjams.com (but you won’t find his picture!).
