Born in Miami, Florida, U.S.A. Howard Johnson hails from Miami, Florida, U.S.A. Howard began his career singing in local bars and clubs. In one small Miami bar he was spotted by Sandy Torano who was looking to form a group. In 1977, they formed Niteflyte and signed to Ariola for two albums. He remained with the group until the early ’80’s when he signed with A&M Records as a solo artist.
