17 year old singer Anthony Lewis was known around his hometown of Los Angeles for his recent cover of the Soul 4 Real classic, “Candy Rain.” But the  death of Ferguson, Missouri  teen, Michael Brown touched the 17 year-old, and led him to create a song to address the issues underlying the event.

“When I see these young men on TV who look like me getting killed, it inspired me to try and do something to help!  I’m not political, I’m a young black teen who could have been Trayvon Martin or Mike brown! When u can Love, Forgive and use your Talent it keeps you focused on what’s positive. I’m just one voice but I hope that someone hears this and it helps them to make better choices.  We live in an unfair world, but at the core we are all human and deserve the same treatment and respect.”

The result of his work are the song and video “Looks Like Me.” Take a look at the video below and tell us what you think.
