First Listen: The Saturators “Stack” us with funk

saturators2

(February 14, 2017) The Saturators is a new dance group featuring an eclectic mix of musicians based out of Brooklyn and Harlem. Originally divined by guitarist Misha Savage from their “Funkaholics Anonymous” Hip-Hop jams in Harlem, the band has grown into a  7 person groove machine. Throwing Dancehall, Reggae, Funk, Hip-hop and Afrobeat into a blender and pouring it onto crowds with a heavy dose of improv – the band touts a message of #WetMusic to crowds throughout NYC.

We were recently introduced to the group with the song “Stacks,” a sly blend of funky jazz, R&B and even a bit of reggae, all put together in a cut that should please both traditionalists and those more on the musical edge. By the mid-song break and funk chant, you’ll be hooked.

“Stacks” is our newest SoulTracks First Listen. Check it out below and tell us what you think!
