First Listen: Terri Green knows “Two Wrongs Don’t Make It Right”

(May 23, 2025) Terri Green has the kind of vocal talent that allows her to make her own any song that she chooses to sing or any genre that she decides to explore. She’s done it with disco and soul, and on “Two Wrongs Don’t Make It Right,” Green conquers Southern Soul. The tune pairs Green with Lorenzo Johnson to tell a tale that no other musical genre can communicate with the same kind of flair.

“Two Wrongs Don’t Make It Right” is a story of cheating hearts that are conscious of their guilt. Yet the feeling is so good that they’re attracted to each other like magnets. “Two Wrongs Don’t Make It Right” places Johnson’s gritty baritone at center stage, as he getting a phone call to arrange a rendezvous at a location known to both. Green mostly hovers in background providing vocal co-signs to Johnson‘s lyrical play by play.

The Green/Johnson collaboration came together at the urging of Marvyn Mack of Urban Influencer Music Group, who encouraged Green, who is a bona fide dance music legend, to explore Southern Soul. He paired her with Johnson on this song about two people coming to terms with a risky relationship that neither can quit.
