(September 19, 2017) Los Angeles-based Jacnique Nina gained critical acclaim in jazz circles several years back with her Trial by Fire CD. Recently, she teamed up with veteran Switch/Deco vocalist Phillip Ingram for the mellifluous groove, “Songbird.”

With tropical touches of flute, acoustic guitar, and eclectic percussion, revered UK producer Nigel Lowis adds a club-ready festivity to Preston Glass’ original production for release this month on DSG Records. Nina and Ingram’s smooth chemistry blends well with the breezy arrangement, which is likely to appeal to sophisticated soulsters and contemporary jazz-heads alike. Listen to “Songbird” below and let us know your thoughts!
