Rochester, New York native Robin McKelle played around the world to be discovered, but now she and her band, the Flytones, are hot stuff back in the USA, where their down home soul music has received both critical acclaim and a growing audience.
In time for this year’s holiday season, the band has issued an EP that includes their take on some past Christmas gems, including the memorable “Merry Christmas, Baby.” Says Robin: “Having the time to be creative in the studio allowed us to try several different approaches to this Christmas classic originally recorded by Charles Brown. We wanted to put our fingerprint on it and had a great time doing so!”
