Soul music fans certainly know the name Rena Scott. Rena has recorded and/or toured with such greats as the Jazz Crusaders, David Ruffin, Bobby Womack, and Michael Henderson; has had movie and theatre acting roles; and whose voice has been heard on movie soundtracks, and commercial jingles
The Detroit native was probably known best for her hit duet with Michael Henderson “Take Me I’m Yours,” but collectors have been grabbing up her other music for years.
The career of Rena Scott continues to evolve. Rena is currently in the studio writing and recording for her upcoming CD with notable producers Lloyd Tolbert and Herb Middleton, and she has just released a new single, the sultry “Can’t Wait.”
