(October 28, 2016) Moviegoers are looking forward to the upcoming Taraji P. Henson film Hidden Figures, about an African American physicist, space scientist, and mathematician who calculated flight trajectories for Project Mercury and the 1969 Apollo 11 flight to the Moon. Well the irrepressible Pharrell Williams has given us another reason to celebrate that movie.
“Runnin’” is a new Pharrell single that gives an undeniable kind of 60s cool. With a bass line that won’t quit and punchy horns, it both harkens back to a time a half century ago and gives it a modern swing. We love it more with every listening.
