Detroit-born, New York-based singer Ms. Irene Renee has a classic soul voice, wrapped in a contemporary soul musical package. On her new album, Ubiquitous Soul, one can hear elements of artists Toni Braxton or Miki Howard. Yes, she’s that good.
Irene shows off her vocal chops on the first single and video from the album, “I Forgive U.” She tells us about the song: “Many times, forgiveness is almost a selfish act…..it’s more for you than the person who needs forgiving. It’s called Survival 101! I was told a long time ago and found the truth in it that the lack of forgiveness and hatred is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die! Forgiveness, fully embraced, can be the elixir to your true peace and serenity! Let it go!”
