(November 2, 2020) Say the name Morris Day, and you will certainly get a sly grin from just about anyone. As the lead singer for The Time, Day represented Minneapolis Cool to millions during the 80s and 90s on a string of hits and memorable concert and movie performances.
Mr. Day is still doing his thing successfully, but we don’t hear new recordings from him often enough for our taste. Now, as we get ready for the holidays, he is back with a new song that captures the funky Wall of Sound of The Time along with his always fun lyrical twists. “Cooler Than Santa Claus” will absolutely bring a smile to fans, and will get you ready for Christmas in a somewhat different way than, say, “The First Noel.”
