(January 13, 2018) Meshell Ndegeocello has created quite a career around her eclectic blend of soul, funk, rap, all powered by her bass playing and vocal finesse.
She is never afraid to take on ambitious projects, and that goes for her upcoming album of covers, called Ventriloquism. On it she reinterprets classic songs from TLC, Al B Sure!, George Clinton and more.
One of the more striking songs from the new album is a stripped down, acoustic version of the revered Force MD’s hit, “Tender Love.” We very much like what Meshell has done with this one, and we think you might too. Check it out below.
