Twin brothers Kelvis and Kendall Duffie, also known as Kloud 9, hold a special place for SoulTrackers. At our very first live edition of the SoulTracks Readers Choice Awards in 2007, they won the Best Duo or Group award, as voted by our readers. That same night, the incredible Maysa Leak was also a winner, winning her first of five Female Vocalist of the Year SoulTracks awards.
They’ve been friends and longtime favorites of ours, so it is special to us that Kloud 9 and Maysa have joined together for a new single that is a preview of Kloud 9’s highly anticipated upcoming double EP, Don’t Stop.
“24/7 Love” is a tasty midtempo with jazzy flourishes and the patented Kloud 9 R&B sheen. The alternating lead vocals tell the story of a lover who is promising both faithfulness and round the clock attentiveness, and the blending of Kloud 9 and Maysa is soulful glory.
