(October 29, 2024) Mariah. is an artist who has varied interests and vocations, and any of them could have accounted for the Shreveport born singer’s hiatus from recording. She’s a NICU nurse who continued to perform while pursuing her degree. Mariah. is also an animal lover who enjoys other artistic pursuits beyond singing, including pottery, painting and dance.
But when it was time for Mariah. to return to the studio, she did so in style. The singer/songwriter teams with Raheem “The Love King” DeVaughn on the simmering bedroom ballad “Hold On Me.”
“Hold On Me” is the classic love conversation between a man and woman put to a slow, grinding funky beat. Mariah. and DeVaughn alternate with each singing about the anticipation of their impending connection and the pure joy and contentment that comes with coming together in a way that makes everything else in the world disappear.
