November 26, 2018 — Lucky Daye is a gifted singer and songwriter from New Orleans who now calls LA home. Earlier this month, Daye released his debut EP, I, an enchanting melange of soul, funk and R&B textures that compels repeat listening. The soundscapes here are just superb and place the album easily among the best produced in R&B this year.
We feature here the lead single “Roll Some Mo,” a dreamy, lushly-layered jam that highlights Daye’s arresting vocals. (Now I know what you’re thinking — what’s he rolling? Daye doesn’t say exactly, but you may be comforted to know that it’s legal in California!). Enjoy.
