(May 3, 2021) Earlier this year, we featured new music from talented singer and songwriter Lamone, and SoulTrackers went for it big time. “Born To Be A King” was Lamone’s letter to America, and it certainly struck a chord with us.
We subtly jabbed the artist that we didn’t hear new music from him as often as we’d like, and just like that Lamone is now back with a smooth new single that is making our week a lot better. “You Complete Me” straddles the line between soul and contemporary jazz, and the presence of jazz royalty Najee helps the song progress into a true nighttime gem.
An ode from a man to the love who he says “brings out the best in me,” “You Complete Me” is the beautiful musical version of something that a lot of men want to say – especially around Mothers Day.
