First Listen: Kinsman Dazz Band wants to “Keep It Movin'”

(June 12, 2025) The Kinsman Dazz Band has always had the ability to make music that made listeners boogie, as well as slow grind. “Let It Whip” and “Invitation to Love” are both loved by R&B fans, albeit for different reasons.

They’ve been at it since the 1970s, making danceable music and playing it live.  Kinsman Dazz continues their tradition of luring R&B fans to forget their cares and enjoy themselves with their latest single “K.I.M. (Keep It Moving).”

“K.I.M.” has every element to make you move. The tune is the classic funky banger with a thumping, plucking bass line engaged in a one on one conversation with the horn section. Dazz, of course, stands for “danceable jazz” and the saxophone solo that enlivens the song’s bridge is a smooth way to bring some funky improvisation to the party.

“K.I.M” captures the joy felt by a fella who finds himself on the dance floor with a young lady who is poetry in motion, and how the sight of her gets him in the mood to take this party to a place a little more intimate. Check out the Kinsman Dazz Band’s latest funky banger “K.I.M. (Keep It Moving)” here.
