Longtime SoulTrackers know that one of our favorite all time groups was the Chairmen of the Board, and we continued to review their work right up until the death of group founder General Johnson.
SoulTrackers also know that Ken Knox was a singer and musician in the group for nearly four decades. More recently, Ken has formed the group Ken Knox & Company (with Thomas Hunter and Brandon Stevens) and they are continuing the legacy of sweet soul and Carolina Beach music that Ken was known for in his Chairmen days.
The band has a new song that is already at hit on the Carolina scene and is getting a bit of a Philly sheen with the remix provided by the great Nigel Lowis. We like it so much we’ve made it our newest SoulTracks First Listen.
