(March 1, 2019) Kameron ‘Kam’ Corvet’s parents and his acoustic guitar both play major roles in the song “Give It A Try.” Corvet hails from a musical family and he spent his youth singing in church and in the community. Corvet’s parents purchased an acoustic guitar for their son, and Corvet immediately began developing into a singer/songwriter who ultimately released several independent projects, opened for Adele, Chaka Kahn and others, and wrote co-wrote Sting and Shaggy’s single “Don’t Make Me Wait” from the recent Grammy Award winning album 44/876.
Corvet’s buttery tenor voice that flutters easily into falsetto range returns with “Give It a Try.” Corvet used the true story of his parents’ pen pal courtship (that resulted in them eloping) as his muse and inspiration for a song about two people who want to overcome the fear caused by past experiences and step together in the future.
“Give It A Try” made some waves when it was released a few months ago, Now, following his recent Grammy Award win, Kam has issued a cool new Soul Council Remix of “Give It A Try.” Check it out below.
