(July 21, 2025) Julian Jonah originally made his mark as a producer of house music in the 1980s. Jonah’s recent musical pursuits have led him in search of different genres. However, the focus stays on the sounds and arrangements that R&B and dance music fans gravitated to in the 1980s.
Julian’s latest single “Better Make Room For Love,” comes with that smooth and lush 1980s sound. The track features the sultry and seductive vocals of Marva King, who is another SoulTracks favorite. “Better Make Room For Love” is a song that embraces the analog sound of 1980s music. Fans hear sweeping strings, horns playing in harmony and a trumpet that breaks out into an improvised solo, all on the foundation of a funky bass line.
Like Jonah, Marva King comes to this song with deep experience in the vocalist in dance/house music, as well as R&B. King brings all those chops to this track, and it allows her to give the classic musical advice to open our hearts to love when it comes knocking.
