(November 17, 2016) Like many SoulTrackers, we’ve been fans of the group Club Nouveau for a long, long time. They won us over back in the day with clever, melodic songs like “Lean On Me,” “Situation #9,” “Jealousy,” and so many more.
We were excited when the group returned a couple years ago with the album Consciousness, and we’re even more excited now that group leader Jay King is readying a solo album, set for release in January. Jay is giving SoulTrackers a first peek at the new music with the great lead single, “Good Kinda Lovin.” It’s a smooth song that has a bit of Marvin and a tempting groove. We also think it is a future hit.
Jay tells us about the song, “‘Good Kinda Lovin’ is the first single from my upcoming solo album project (2nd album) Helen’s Son. Is a throw back to the old R&B, Soul Music Era but with todays production on it. I really wanted to make an album that was honest and pure, ‘Good Kinda Lovin’ is the first release but I have 9 other songs that I hope will resonate with the community that enjoy ‘real music‘”
