World Premiere: Izo FitzRoy gives us live “Wires”

(February 11, 2020) Occasionally when an artist is seen as a star in the making, obstacles begin to impede their progress.  U.K. singer/songwriter/musician Izo FitzRoy’s seamless blend of soul, blues and gospel that graced her debut in 2017, Skyline, immediately wowed U.K. audiences, leading to an international tour. Then she encountered throat issues, which forced her into surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation.  Fortunately, her voice finally healed so she could resume her flourishing career.  While there were more personal ordeals to sort out, FitzRoy’s potent pen journalized her post-relationship frustrations and her perspective of complex communication in preparing her sophomore project.

SoulTracks proudly welcomes FitzRoy by introducing the World Premiere Video of her latest single from the upcoming release, How The Mighty Fall (Jalapeno Records).  “When The Wires Are Down” is a poignant account of a challenging post romantic relationship experience. FitzRoy observes: “I wrote this song about the cold breakdown of communication once a relationship has ended.” This stirring live studio performance video builds from a near quiet canvas of piano and drums into a gospel climax, all capped by FitzRoy’s blues-edged lead. Clearly, FitzRoy will win fans in the U.S.  With powerhouse tracks such as “When The Wires Are Down,” she is a survivor who is ready to inspire those who struggle with life’s persistent obstacles.  Enjoy this world premiere.
