(February 11, 2022) We’ve been following the rising career of singer and songwriter Iisma for the past few years. We first heard him performing his wonderful duet work with Gwendolyn Collins, and it has been a treat continuing to see his growth.
The Puerto Rico-born artists now has a new album, Superhuman, coming, and he leads it off with the intricate single, “Free.” Performing both lead and backing vocals on top of a simple arrangement, Iisma gives a performance that will wow listeners with both its precision and the swirling nature of the vocal work.
He tells us about the song, which he wrote early on during the pandemic, “I saw so much sadness all over social media, and while speaking to friends and fam; it was really rough around that time but I chose to not let it affect me to a point that I had to turn to the darkness so I decided to write ‘FREE.’ On the onset it speaks of a relationship, to me it’s more about loving you a little more, and allowing yourself to be free through that very love. I hope that many enjoy this song and give it their own meaning through their own life experiences.”
We’re enjoying both the message Iisma is delivering and the compelling way he’s delivering it. We’re proud to present the World Premiere of “Free.” Check it out below and tell us what you think.
