The extremely talented singer and songwriter has made this year her own, beginning with her stunning appearance at the Super Bowl, then with Grammy wins and Oscar wins, combined with a string of acclaimed singles and even her own ultra-cool Old Navy commercial.
Her new single comes from the Barack and Michelle Obama/Kenya Barris Netflix series on citizenship We The People. “Change” is half Curtis Mayfield, half Schoolhouse Rock and 100% fine.

Musically, the song is another winner, with a throwback arrangement of drum, wahwah and acoustic guitar and H.E.R.’s now instantly recognizable vocals leading the way.
