(March 21, 2018) “We’ve Come This Far By Faith” is a song that testifies to the faithfulness of God and the enduring faith in God to sustain the faithful through any trail. The song has a special resonance among the group whose story includes some of the trials and tribulations that include slavery, Jim Crow and right through contemporary struggles of the political and personal variety.
The gospel trio Half Mile Home reflects that history when they open their new cut “This Far” with an acapella rendition of the gospel classic before the track morphs into a percussive R&B track that brings that classic gospel message in an ultra-contemporary arrangement.
