Hailing from Motown (Detroit, Michigan) Gwenation is no stranger to music and entertainment. The singer / songwriter began performing as a little girl in church and grew up to join the vocal group PreZence and get signed to Grammy Award winning artist Vickie Winans’ Detroit-based Destiny Joy Records. She has since shared the stage with artists ranging from Dwele to Angie Stone.
Gwenation is set to release her debut album “Happiness Love Freedom” later this year. And she leads off the disc with our newest SoulTracks First Listen, the debut single “Ain’t Got A Chance.” Says Gwenation about the song, “’Ain’t Got A Chance’ is a record that encourages women to stand by their man, the one they are with etc. Even when there are others that may want her, she is faithful and sticks with the man she’s already with. It simply states “I don’t want nobody else but you baby”
