First Listen: guiltypleasures sings “A Song With You In It”

A few years ago we introduced SoulTrackers to the group guiltypleasures. With a jazzy, adult soul sound and a basketful of great cuts, they became an immediate favorite – and a 2010 Soul Tracks New Artist of the Year finalist.

guiltypleasures is coming back with its sophomore album entitled, cautionarytales. Written, arranged, and produced by Rick White, and featuring Kal-El Gross, Kia Bennett, Bléz, and Jerrica White on vocals, cautionarytales picks up where the group’s successful debut album lovestories left off, but with lyrics and music that have greater depth and substance.  cautionarytales is scheduled for release on September 12, 2015.

We’re digging the first single from the album, called “A Song With You In It.” Group leader Rick White tells us about the song: “A Song With You In It” is an infectious groove that features Kia Bennett on vocals and tells the story of the search for forgiveness and redemption that often follows mistakes and regret.

The song is our newest SoulTracks First Listen. Check out the return of one of our recent faves below and get ready for some cautionarytales.
