(October 5, 2024) Singer and songwriter Grace Aggrey-Fynn has taken an unusual course to create a musical career. Based in Accra, Ghana, Grace began writing more than a decade ago, first entering a contest in her home country to write songs educating citizens about HIV.
Fast forward to 2023, and Grace won a giveaway sponsored by the website GiveSendGo, giving her the money to record her first produced demo. The result of that work is “God Is On Your Side,” a touching ballad about the healing power of faith.
Beginning with a simple acoustic piano, the song lays bare the need for a loving God in a confusing, challenging world:
We all need someone
Someone to love us
Someone to make us feel loved.
We all need someone,
Someone to fill our heart with joy and peace.
“God is On Your Side” is a lovely ballad, and Aggrey-Fynn proves herself to be an effective vocal messenger for the hopeful song.
