(July 4, 2018) Over the past couple of years, we’ve become for familiar with an artist with an uncommon name and an equally uncommon voice: Funmilayo Ngozi. Hailing from Atlanta, The Nigerian singer is also an award-winning educator and a worship leader. And her singing reminds of many of the great soul and gospel singers of the past.
Funmilayo worked with producer Chris Thompkins for this single, which also features Warren Brown on bass. It is a beautiful blend of soul and jazz that is the first single from Funmilayo’s upcoming EP.
