(September 10, 2016) Divinity Roxx is a singer/songwriter and bassist who served as Beyonce’s Musical Director for her world tours during 2006-2011. Earlier this year, Divinity released her third independent album, ImPossible, which is a lovely mix of funk, soul, rock, hip-hop and jazz with strong musicianship throughout.
We feature here the track “Question,” in which Divinity deftly alternates between singing and rapping over a head-nodding, Fender Rhodes-accented beat with smooth vocal accompaniment by Derrick Baskin. Enjoy.
