(December 5, 2017) The world is in a crisis and it seems that newsfeeds, 24-hour news cycles and newspaper headlines confirm that viewpoint on a daily basis. So, there is no surprise to hear our artists use their platforms as actors, poets, singers and musicians to address these issues.
In the world of music, it is commonplace to hear hip-hop and R&B artists being moved by what is happening in on the streets, the halls of Congress or the corridors of business. However, gospel and contemporary Christian artists also have a long tradition of being moved by what is unfolding before their eyes to put their spiritual perspective on the state of the world.
