(May 30, 2017) We’ve been covering DC-based singer and entrepreneur Desi Hill since the early days of SoulTracks, but it has been a few years since we’ve heard new music from him. SoulTrackers may remember Desi for his work with other regional stalwarts like the late, great Al Johnson.
Desi is now back with a new song aimed at capturing the feeling of love that comes and goes too soon. “Seasonal Love” opens with an upbeat, jazzy band, reminiscent of Al Jarreau’s “Mornin’.” Then Desi and his backup singers take it from there, singing of a love that faded with the ending of a season.
