First Look: Darien Dean and Tiffany T’zelle groove to the “Last Song”

(May 9, 2018) “I’ll have what she’s having.” That’s the famous line from the movie When Harry Met Sally, spoken by a woman who sees another patron apparently, err, enjoying herself. That’s what I thought of when I watched the video for the wonderful new single from SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Award Winner Darien Dean and talented songstress Tiffany T’zelle. “I want to visit that grocery store”!

Darien made a splash a few years ago with the duet “All In Me” with Angela Johnson, and won our prestigious Song of the Year award in the process. Since then, he received critical acclaim for his album If These Walls Could Talk and last year’s EP Departures. Darien is now readying his new album Detours, and what better way than with this tasty steppers anthem featuring T’zelle, who has been a mainstay supporting other artists such as Patti Austin and Leela James, and shows her impressive vocal chops here. And the video, set in a hip grocery store that is delivering grooves as well as snacks, is a fun way to present it.

Check out the music video “Last Song” below and just try to avoid dancing along.
