(May 14, 2022) Soul music fans have been following the legendary family group Tavares for a half century, and most of that act’s hits featured the smooth leads of Chubby Tavares. Over the past decade, Chubby has fashioned a solo career in addition to his touring with his brothers.
Now as we get ready for Chubby’s fourth solo album, we get a sneak peek with “If It’s Written In The Stars,” penned by legendary songwriter Preston Glass and British soul man David Nathan. It arrives in stores on May 20.
A tasty midtempo, “Written” features a cool, guitar-led groove that could fit on both adult soul and contemporary jazz stations.
