(December 8, 2021) Violinist and singer Charisa the ViolinDiva has devoted her career to challenging what we think of a violin and how it is incorporated into popular music. And over the years, she’s collaborated with a who’s who of leading artists, from Quincy Jones to Lauryn Hill.
Now Charisa moves to the front with her own fresh vision of a holiday classic. “O Little Town of Bethlehem” has been covered countless times, but not like this. She delivers a five and one-half minute opus that is ad adventurous mixture of jazz, funk, scat and rock that challenges traditional views of this song and even the Christmas Music genre.
We’re proud to present the World Premiere of this adventurous version of a holiday standard. This is true artistry at work. Check it out below.
