Back before they became one of R&B’s biggest groups and before Gerald Levert fashioned a brilliant solo career, the trio called LeVert, consisting of Gerald and his brother Sean and Marc Gordon, was a new act trying to hit it with a hot midtempo written by Midnight Star’s Reggie Calloway. “Casanova” was crazy infectious, and Gerald made it his own.
