(February 15, 2020) Smooth and soulful are words that describe Cleveland native Antoine Dunn. Dunn’s sound channels a timeless style, embodied by Donnie Hathaway, Roberta Flack, Stevie Wonder, and Ray Charles—all sources of inspiration for his music. Mixing classic elements with more contemporary sounds, and even a touch of Gospel, he’s consistently delivered great music that should appeal to SoulTrackers.
It’s been awhile since we heard from Antoine (we loved his Truth of the Matter album), and so we’re excited to have him back with a new album (Everything arrives February 14) and a single that we’re completely digging. “I’m Yours” is a tasty midtempo that skirts pop and soul in a way that recalls some of the best music from Babyface or Tony Rich.
