(January 15, 2025) Al Chestnut has been making inspirational music that embraces R&B, gospel and jazz alongside his brother as one half of the sibling duo The Chestnut Brothers. Al and Ty Chestnut have performed and recorded with a veritable who’s who of music legends, including Luther Vandross, Grover Washington, Jr, and Najee, just to name a few.

As a group, The Chestnut Brothers have used their combined musical talents to advance the cause of peace, which is something Al and Ty Chestnut have been deeply involved in for many years. Their commitment to world peace compelled them to write the song “Stop The Violence.”

Al Chestnut’s latest solo effort, “Keep Shining Your Light,” will remind listeners that individual transformation is something that each person can do to make the world a better place. That message comes straight from scripture as Christ reminds each believer to let their light shine. And while “Keep Shining Your Light” is not a religious song, the values of gratitude, renewal and setting a positive example all have a spiritual component.

The inspirational message goes down sweetly as Chestnut serves it with his trade mark sweet vocals and a smooth R&B arrangement. Check out Al Chestnut’s “Keep Shining Your Light” here.
