Back in 2007 we introduced SoulTrackers to a talented songstress named Afi. You responded and made her debut album, Lovely, a soul music hit. Well, life took a difficult turn for her after that, with the death of her father and financial hardship that left her homeless. Afi left the music game for a few years as she tried to rebuild a life for herself and her children.
Fortunately, it is 2014 and Afi is back, like a Phoenix, singing her expressive soul music again. And her comeback song is “I’m Gone Shine,” a loping midtempo number with an infectious groove and her recognizeable voice on top. It is also the first single from her upcoming album of the same name.
