(February 1, 2022) There’s not much more we can say about Hall of Fame singer, composer, musician and SoulTracks Lifetime Achievement Award winner Chris Jasper. As songwriter and keyboardist for The Isley Brothers, he played a large role in creating some of the greatest music of the Golden Age of R&B. And in more than three decades as a solo artist, he has continued to bring the goods, whether on his several Gospel albums or his frequent soulful collections.
In time for Valentines Day 2022, Chris delivers a deep love song with a funky underpinning. “I Promise” has a message of true love and faithfulness over time, the kind of message every lover wants to hear at this time of year.
