Vaneese Thomas

Memphis-born singer Vaneese Thomas is the daughter of legendary R&B musician Rufus Thomas and the sister of singer Carla Thomas. But Vaneese has carved a career of her own as a singer and songwriter, performing soul, jazz, blues and gospel music around the world.

As a songwriter, Thomas has provided material to Patti Austin, Freddie Jackson, Bob James, Melba Moore, and Diana Ross.
As a singer, Thomas has performed with a virtual “who’s who” of artists, from Stevie Wonder to Eric Clapton to Michael Jackson. Thomas has also performed as a voice over actor on such projects as Disney’s “Hercules.”

Thomas has released the album ‘Soul Sister Vol  1 and a UK-only  EP ‘Prelude to Legacy’  featuring 6 original self penned numbers.
