Detroit-based singer and MC Monica Blaire has carved a significant spot for herself in that city’s musical landscape. With an eclectic sound that relies heavily on hip-hop but also borrows elements of rock, soul and jazz, she has fronted several local groups and has won over local audiences with her energetic performances that spotlight both her expressive vocals as well as her sometimes frenetic dancing.
