Beth

She is a musical legacy with a powerful talent of her own. Beth Griffith-Manley, who performs as Beth, grew up in Detroit as part of a musical family: Her father, Johnny Griffith, was a keyboardist member of the legendary Funk Brothers, Motown’s in-house studio band, who played on many of the label’s biggest hits.

Beth developed as a singer and pianist as a youngster, but continued to live in two worlds into adulthood, both performing locally and keeping a “day job” in business.

Since the mid 00’s though, Beth has made an increasingly strong mark in music, working with such notable artists as gospel singer Yolanda Adams and the late Ali Woodson. She also toured for a half decade with the legendary Anita Baker and has been a longtime touring partner with R&B star KEM.

Beth stepped out on her own as a singer in 2017 with the hot single “Love Hurts” and the accompanying EP Free.

National audiences got to know Beth when she participated on NBC’s singing contest The Voice, where she was coached by John Legend after wowing judges with a performance of Aretha’s “Until You Come Back To Me.”

Beth returned to the studio in 2020 with the enjoyable “You’ve Already Won.” We are anxiously waiting to hear more from her.
