Singer/songwriter Amos Lee grew up in Philadelphia and developed a love of both the easy rock singers of the 70s and his own city’s soul stars. He developed a style of music that borrowed from both as well as from modern folk music. After working with Norah Jones, Lee was signed by her label, Blue Note for his self-titled debut album, on which Jones guested. It made some waves in both adult contemporary and soul circles, and led to a follow-up in 2006’s Supply and Demand.
In 2008, Lee’s star continued to rise, as he recorded Last Days at the Lodge with super-producer Don Was. It received high praise and showed further development of Lee as both a songwriter and performer.
