(March 7, 2024) Are you ready for some Irish soul? Well, we’ve got your pot o’ solid gold right here with the latest arrival from TOUCAN.

Born Conor Clancy, the emerging singer-songwriter from Tramore, Ireland hit 2.5 million streams for the soft funk-soul single “We Fell for Miles” back in 2018. He’s moving forward with “Don’t Understand Why,” a smooth ballad capturing summery neo-soul vibes, Al Green organ and dreamy melodies. “It takes two to tangle, and we’re tangled up in love,” the singer croons before a smoldering chorus highly reminiscent of GQ’s “Sitting in the Park” and Delfonics’ peak lullabies.

TOUCAN is truly proud of all that transpiring from the new music, as are we. “I’ve spent the last couple of years getting the sound to be exactly as I want it, and I'm buzzing to get this song out there,” he writes. “I've had a bit of a break from releasing new music, and I think ‘Don't Understand Why’ is the perfect track to kickstart the year of new releases - it's bright, upbeat, and still laid back and groovy.”
