(May 6, 2026) It’s been a long time coming, but The Womack Sisters is finally set to arrive. The trio, already familiar to SoulTrackers as New Artist of the Year winners at the SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Awards, will release their debut on August 14 via Daptone.
The album is led by “Chauffeur,” a stripped-down, reality-based track that follows the earlier single “You Went Away Too Long.” The release also comes as the group prepares to join Thee Sacred Souls and LA LOM on the Constellation Tour, and to appear with Al Green at the Hollywood Bowl on release day.
“Chauffeur” focuses on the group’s real-life experiences as rideshare drivers. Zeimani, BG, and Kucha trade verses about difficult passengers and the challenge of turning small fares into rent money. The arrangement mirrors that tension, with sharp horn lines, urgent strings, and a steady, driving rhythm.
That directness carries through The Womack Sisters. The album leans on classic soul influences without sounding retro, and gives each member space to lead. Kucha’s lighter, melodic tone contrasts well with Zeimani’s more controlled phrasing, while BG brings power and range that often pushes songs to their peak.
As strong as the individual performances are, the group’s identity is clearest when they come together. Tracks like “Chauffeur,” “You Went Away Too Long,” and “Laughter and Tears” highlight a natural blend that comes from shared background and experience.
The Womack Sisters arrives on Daptone on August 14th and can be preordered and presaved HERE. For those looking to catch them live, there are many chances this summer on the Constellation Tour across the United States and Canada. Tickets can be found HERE.
