Oregon native Whitney McClain grew up in a musical family, perhaps the most notable of which was her uncle, Marlon McClain, who was known both as the lead guitarist of the 80s band Pleasure and also for his solo career. Whitney credits music for getting her through difficult times as a child, including two successful brain surgeries.
Now based in Los Angeles, Whitney has spent the past year moving to the forefront with her music. Earlier this year she issued her debut album Nothing To Lose, and she has a new single that is climbing the charts. “Heart Games” tells the story of a troubled relationship, and Whitney’s young but powerful voice tells the tale with authority. Whitney tells us, “’Heart Games’ is about my journey to get closure with an Ex and moving on.”
To go along with the story, Whitney has issued a new video. “The video shoot was so much fun! I think it really gave me an opportunity to express myself and share a great visual of what ‘Heart Games’ is about.”
We’re enjoying hearing this talented young singer at work, and hope you’ll enjoy the visual interpretation of “Heart Games.” It is our newest Video of the Month. Check it out below!
